On September 26 and 27, 2026, Monselice will host the International Festival of religious and spiritual routes, an opportunity for walkers, associations, trail managers, and local authorities to meet, share experiences, and reflect on the cultural and spiritual value of these itineraries.
Saturday, September 26, will begin at 9:30 AM in Piazza Giuseppe Mazzini with the walk “Tra i luoghi dello Spirito” (“Among the Places of the Spirit”), a route immersed in the Euganean Hills Regional Park connecting Monselice to Este, also following the paths of the Romea Strata and the Este variant of Saint Anthony’s Way (Cammino di Sant’Antonio). After a break in the gardens of Este Castle, the walk will return to Monselice, crossing the territory of Baone.
The day will continue in the Church of San Giacomo with Holy Mass, the pilgrim dinner, and, at 9:15 PM, an organ concert by Francesco Zaggia.
On Sunday, September 27, at 9:30 AM, Palazzo della Loggetta will host the conference-roundtable “The role of Municipalities and local authorities in promoting and supporting religious and spiritual trails”, bringing together trail managers and local entities. In the afternoon, in the cloister of the former Convent of San Giacomo, the final of the photo contest “Walking along the ancient paths of the Spirit” will take place, dedicated in its first edition to the Way of St. James.
The Festival will also be accompanied by a photo exhibition of the same name, open to visitors in the cloister of the former Convent of San Giacomo from September 19 to October 4.
