Romea Strata under the stars

An evening walk through nature, stories, and heritage in Villanova di San Bonifacio

A flashlight, the October night sky, and a path to walk together. On Saturday, October 3rd, “Porte Aperte – Romea Strata” returns to San Bonifacio with the second evening edition of an experience that invites you to slow down and see the local territory through fresh eyes.

The walk departs from the Boschetto della Gentilezza in Villanova, located in Via Don Ambrosini near the municipal gardens. From here, participants will embark on a route guided by reflections and stories centered on the theme “Biodiversity is Wealth,” organized in collaboration with AMEntelibera.

Step by step, the route reaches one of the most significant heritage landmarks along the Romea Strata route in this area: the Abbey Complex of Villanova. Guided by the Volunteer Custodians Group (Gruppo Custodi Volontari), visitors will have the opportunity to discover the rich history of the abbey.

This event is a chance to experience slow travel not just as a path to follow, but as a way to connect with the landscape, its history, and the community that cares for it. Adding to the atmosphere, the evening setting will be lit by the warm glow of torches and lanterns accompanying the walkers.

To round off the evening around 11:00 PM, participants will gather for a convivial moment featuring eco-sustainable local products.

The event will start at 8:00 PM at the Boschetto della Gentilezza in Villanova di San Bonifacio and will conclude around 11:00 PM at the Abbey. All participants are required to bring a flashlight or lantern. The participation fee is €3 per adult.
