Walking with Romea Strata in Pontebba

On Friday, July 10, 2026, as part of the 6th edition of the FenArt International Hay Sculpture Festival, Romea Strata invites you to a guided loop walk to discover the area of Pontebba, one of the historic villages along the Friulian section of the pilgrimage route.

The excursion will be led by Marco Pirona from Prime Alps, offering a wonderful opportunity to explore the natural and cultural heritage of the Val Canale. Together, participants will walk along a section of the Romea Strata, officially recognized as a Cultural Route of the Council of Europe.

The initiative is free of charge (registration required) and open to anyone wishing to experience slow tourism and share the pleasure of walking through one of the most picturesque landscapes of the Friulian Alps.

  • Departure: 6:30 PM from Via Mazzini 32, Pontebba.
  • After the walk: You can continue the evening by enjoying the FenArt Festival, featuring hay sculptures, live music, local food, and performances animating the town center.

Please note: Participation is free, but booking is mandatory. For information and registration, please contact IAT Pontebba at +39 346 6324875 or email iatpontebba@gmail.com.
