How can we build stronger, more resilient, and connected rural communities by bridging different experiences and territories across Europe and Africa?
On September 1, 2026, Rural Thrive 2050 officially launches. This new campaign is developed as part of the European project RURALITIES, in which Romea Strata serves as a partner.
The launch event offers an opportunity to explore the campaign’s vision and discover an international network spanning European projects, organizations, businesses, researchers, institutions, and rural communities. The goal is to foster the exchange of knowledge and best practices, share experiences that are actively transforming territories, and generate new opportunities for collaboration.
The session will also feature the activities that will bring Rural Thrive 2050 to various territories in the coming months through the RURALITIES SIMSES, creating concrete opportunities for discussion and participation. Additionally, the agenda includes an intervention by the European Commission and a dedicated segment for collaborative opportunities among participants.
This event is designed for those working in rural regions, as well as anyone interested in discovering new ways to imagine their future by prioritizing communities, relationships, and innovation.
The event will take place online on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM (CET). It is open to organizations, researchers, businesses, policymakers, rural communities, and anyone interested in rural development and innovation.
