Poland on foot: a pilgrimage through shrines, hills and heritage cities
In Poland, the Romea Strata follows the Polish Camino of St. James, from north to south through cities like Toruń, Włocławek, Częstochowa, Wadowice and Kraków. Walkers encounter green hills, river valleys, rural villages and sacred towns, blending nature, faith and cultural legacy.
Pilgrims follow the official Polish Camino signage, marked by the yellow scallop shell on a blue background. In some sections, the Romea Strata logo also appears, confirming the European route.
With stops like Częstochowa, Poland’s spiritual heart, and Wadowice, birthplace of Pope John Paul II, this path offers powerful moments of reflection and connection with a living, shared heritage of belief.
