Terre di Mezzo

Terre di Mezzo Editore is an independent publishing house founded in Milan in 1994, with a strong focus on travel, walking trails and the culture of excursion. It publishes books, guides, children’s series and educational maps, with the aim of spreading a culture of experience, encounter and sustainability, while enhancing territories and communities that set out on the path.

The new official guide to the Romea Strata

The partnership with Terre di Mezzo led to the 2025 edition of the Romea Strata walking guide in Italy. The new release was an opportunity to fully review and walk the entire main route from Tarvisio to Rome, a year-long effort in which the authors retraced and narrated each stage. For the first time, the guide also includes the Tuscan-Lazio section of the Via Romea Tuscia, from Buonconvento to Rome, enriching the overall experience. Cultural insights, contextual notes and spiritual reflections capture the distinctive character of the Romea Strata and highlight the bond between territories, local communities and pilgrims.
