The Higher Institute of Religious Sciences of Padua (ISSR Padova), promoted by the Diocese and affiliated with the Theological Faculty of the Triveneto region, provides ecclesiastical academic programmes, research activities and training in religious sciences. With an interdisciplinary approach, it supports the dialogue between faith, culture and contemporary society, training professionals capable of interpreting and enhancing the religious dimension in both local and international contexts.
Pulchra: higher education for heritage and pilgrimage
In partnership with the Higher Institute of Religious Sciences of Padua, the Romea Strata has launched Pulchra, an advanced training school dedicated to enhancing ecclesiastical heritage and promoting cultural pilgrimage. Aimed at professionals, guides, graduates and cultural facilitators, the programme combines theological, artistic and anthropological studies with hands-on workshops and a final pilgrimage in Turkey. Its goal is to train new professionals able to interpret and communicate sacred art and to lead meaningful journeys that unite faith, culture and travel. Pulchra stands as a model of collaboration between academia and the territory, fostering a more thoughtful and qualified approach to religious and cultural tourism.
