Romea Annia
Walking the Via Romea Annia: from ancient cities to quiet lagoons
The Via Romea Annia links Concordia Sagittaria to Monselice, passing through Venice’s lagoon, Altino, Padua and the Euganean Hills. Once a Roman road and medieval pilgrimage route, it now offers walkers a unique blend of nature, culture and history.
The route is marked with Romea Strata signs, and supported by interactive maps and GPS tracks. Step by step, you’ll move from mosaics and churches to waterways and open fields, enjoying silence, beauty and authenticity.
This flat and accessible trail crosses wetlands, canals and historic centers, making it ideal for slow travellers who seek deeper connections with the land and its stories.
