Verona > Fucecchio > Rome

The city of Verona has always been a great crossroads throughout history, given its geopolitical position. Verona was also a city with a highly significant religious value, in fact already defined as the “Minor Hierusalem” since the Middle Ages. The Romea Porcilana way started from the city of Verona and headed for a port on the Adriatic, located in the town of Brondolo. Another important road was the Postumia way which crossed all of northern Italy and connected Genoa with Aquileia.

This branch starts from Verona, passes through San Bonifacio and then heads towards Montagnana where it joins the Romea Annia way which then flows into Badia Polesine on the Romea Nonantolana-Longobarda way which, after crossing the Po and the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines, joins Fucecchio. Along the Via Francigena, and through it, arrives in Rome.
