Romea Vicetia

From the silence of the mountains to the breath of the great river

The Romea Vicetia begins high in the mountains, where memory lingers in the wind. From the Bell of the Fallen in Rovereto, a universal symbol of peace, the path descends through the Pian delle Fugazze, beneath Mount Pasubio, where stone and silence still echo with history.

You walk through ancient trails and water roads, past forests and ridgelines, and enter Schio, a resilient industrial town surrounded by green. From there, the path softens into the Venetian plains, where church towers rise like whispers from the fields.

In Vicenza, beauty becomes architecture: Palladio’s harmony, the quiet strength of Monte Berico, a dialogue between light and stone. Then on, past farms and fortified towns, to Montagnana, wrapped in perfect medieval walls.

And finally the Adige—wide, still, luminous. Crossing it feels like a rite of passage, a threshold. You arrive at Badia Polesine, where roads converge and the journey continues, within and beyond.
