Romea Allemagna
Via Romea Allemagna on foot: rediscovering Italy, step by step
The Via Romea Allemagna begins in Tarvisio, near the Austrian border, and crosses Friuli Venezia Giulia and Veneto down to Concordia Sagittaria, a historic junction of ancient routes. The path follows the Tagliamento River, through valleys, villages, churches and unspoiled landscapes.
The trail is waymarked with the Romea Strata logo, and supported by GPS tracks and digital maps. Stages are designed for slow, mindful walking in close connection with the land.
This is a journey of history and quiet beauty, once walked by pilgrims heading to Rome, Santiago or Jerusalem. Today, it invites travelers to rediscover a deeper Italy—welcoming, surprising and full of small wonders.
