Receive the Miliarium
and request the Testimonium in Rome
The Jubilee along the Romea Strata: A Journey of Faith and Discovery
The Jubilee is not just about arriving in Rome; it’s a spiritual journey made up of significant stages along the Via Romea Strata. During your walk, you can collect up to 31 Miliarium: 20 in Italy and 11 in Austria, each linked to an important Jubilee site. These Miliarium mark the stages of your personal path, offering moments for sharing as well as spaces for silence and reflection, allowing you to experience the journey one step at a time, away from the crowds.

Along the Romea Strata, each Jubilee site offers you the chance to receive a Miliarium: a small, symbolic sticker to apply to your Pilgrim’s Credential. This visible sign represents your passage, your commitment, and your active participation in the pilgrimage to Rome.
To obtain a Miliarium, you must have completed at least two consecutive stages, either on foot or by bicycle, following the designated routes. It’s not the distance in kilometres that counts, but the geographical and temporal continuity of your journey. As proof of your completed journey, you can collect stamps along the way to affix to your Credential, which will serve as evidence of your route. By collecting at least 3 Miliarium, you can request the Testimonium, the official document certifying the completion of your Jubilee pilgrimage. You can collect it in Rome at St. Peter’s Basilica.
