Revitalization of the Mariazeller Gründerweg in collaboration with Romea Strata

At Austria’s largest travel fair, “Ferien-Messe Wien”, representatives from Upper Styrian tourist destinations agreed to revitalize the Mariazeller Gründerweg, a historic pilgrimage route, in collaboration with the European Association Romea Strata.

This path, starting from St. Lambrecht to Mariazell, is now integrated into the European network of pilgrimage routes of Romea Strata, extending to Rome.

In 2025, the Jubilee year, a significant international demand for pilgrimage experiences along this and other segments of the Romea Strata is anticipated, with renewed efforts for continuous signage, trail maintenance, and targeted marketing measures.
