New free training initiative for Jubilee 2025

Romea Strata is pleased to announce the launch of an exciting new free training opportunity that will kick off in June 2024. The course, which is part of the “PER-CORSI for the Jubilee 2025” project, will run from June to September through 5 webinars, thanks to ARTE E FEDE of the Archdiocese of Bologna in collaboration with ME.TA. (MEDIATION-TREATMENT-LISTENING). The course aims to develop specific skills for guiding pilgrimages, recognizing the distinctive identity of this practice in the context of historical and spiritual routes.

The video lesson on the Romea Strata and its Jubilee proposal is part of the fourth module entitled “The Jubilee of Hope. The Network of European Routes and Pilgrimage Routes,” which will take place on August 31, 2024.

We invite all those interested to join us in this new educational journey. For more details and to register for the free webinars, visit www.arteefede.org.

This is not an isolated initiative for Romea Strata, which for years has been actively engaged in education and training related to historical and spiritual paths. In fact, Romea Strata collaborates with the Pulchra School of Higher Education, focusing on religious art and culture. This school, launched in November 2023, aims to train competent professionals and volunteers in the field of ecclesiastical artistic and cultural heritage, emphasizing the importance of these resources for evangelization and personal growth.

Also significant in this regard is the European project “Train to EUpilgrimage,” funded through the Erasmus+ program, promoted among others by Romea Strata and aimed at training professional pilgrimage guides through a standardized international curriculum. This initiative made it possible to structure training content on different aspects of pilgrimage: from historical sites to spiritual and psychological benefits, providing guides with knowledge and tools to enrich the pilgrim experience. All content is available in English on the project platform: https://www.train2eupilgrimage.eu/.

Another dimension of Romea Strata’s commitment to education is its collaboration with tourism-oriented high schools in the area. Through seminars and meetings, it has been possible to translate the richness of the walk into classrooms, helping to bridge the gap between theory and practice and to prepare students for professions related to cultural tourism and walking.
